Safety is paramount at Contour, and it is reinforced with our mindset, “Safely, All Day.”

We hold daily pre-shift meetings that cover the daily task agenda, safety concerns and best practices. Based upon our MSHA Part 48-B training plan, our safety program exceeds the industry standards. Contour has a safety culture that is engrained in its employees, from day one.





Our current EMR is 1.0. We have worked over 2 years without a reportable accident or lost time accident. Additionally we have an excellent record with MSHA.

We achieve our safety goals through the following programs:

  • MSHA Part 48-B Training Plan
  • All employees are required to attend the New Hire Orientation, which last two entire days
  • Each equipment operator undergoes assessments and training for each machine family they will be operating. Once they are deemed “Competent Operators,” they are allowed on customer projects
  • Site specific training
  • Daily worksite meetings that cover work area hazards, job tasks and special circumstances
  • First Aid / CPR Certification
